on naivety

it’s easy to think the best of situations while you’re still a student and have yet to be formally introduced to the world.

this past semester has taught me that i’ve been too naive about the world, that i really can’t trust people that easily. i used to think that there were genuine people out there who genuinely would want to help, but more often than not the professionals out there are tainted by corporate and personal agendas and driven by their egos. pointless. poignant. and pointless.
